Hawks Baseball off to Strong Start
York County Community College Baseball is off and running to start the 2026 season, and there’s a lot to like through the first five games.
The Hawks started the year with a top-10 win over PSU Mont Alto in Florida before returning to the Northeast with a dominant 13-2 mercy rule win over NJCAA Region 21 opponent Bunker Hill CC.
“We’ve liked the way we’ve competed so far,” said Head Coach Zack Robinson. “The energy’s been good, the guys are playing for each other, and we’re getting contributions from a lot of different spots.
Defensively and on the mound, the group has done a good job keeping us in games. We’ve been around the zone, made routine plays, and given ourselves chances late — which is all you can ask for early in the year."
One of the early standouts has been Jack Sullivan, who’s been a steady presence in the middle of the order.
Through the first 5 games, Sullivan is 9 for 17 with 7 walks and 9 RBI.
“Jack’s been really solid for us,” Robinson said. “He’s not trying to be anything he’s not — just takes good swings and competes every time up. That’s what you want in the middle of your lineup.
It’s still early, and there’s plenty to clean up, but the foundation is there. The group is starting to find its identity — tough, competitive, and capable of putting pressure on teams in a lot of different ways. We’re in a good spot for this point in the season, now it’s about tightening things up and getting better every time we take the field.”
The Hawks will look to carry that momentum into next week when they head to Mass to take on Holyoke in a double header on the 30th.
